TheIndonesia.id - The Police Directorate of Cyber Crimes (Dittipidsiber) is currently investigating police data and computer system hacking allegations. The hacker from Brazil was suspected of hacking police members' data.

A Brazilian hacker named son1x claimed to be successfully breaking into the personal data of Polices and their closest family members.

"Now the case is being handled by the Dittipidsiber. We will inform you of the update later," said the Head of the Police Public Relations Division, Dedi Prasetyo, to Antara, Thursday, November 18, 2021.

The Twitter account @son1x666 wrote a tweet, "Polri-Indonesian National Police Hacked, 28k logins and personal information leaked".

The user posted three links that allegedly showed copies of the Police's personal data that had been hacked.

Anyone who clicked the link would see the Police's data, such as name, rank, place of birth, date of birth, work unit, marital status, and several other personal data.

In addition, there is also information about "rehabilitation decision, rehabilitation court decision, type_of violation, rehabilitation information, punishment_completed." The data is presumed to be violations committed by Police members.

According to a cybersecurity expert from CISSReC, Pratama Persadha, it was not the first time the police computer system was hacked. Initially, the Police's website had been hacked for an online gambling site. The police data had also been stolen.

He added that the police database is currently sold freely on the Internet forum, RaidForum, by perpetrators named 'Stars12n'. The platform also provides free-downloaded-sample data.
